It's Official: Geoimage and Axelspace Partnership

Geoimage is thrilled to announce the official partnership with Axelspace アクセルスペース.

Both Mark Covington, CEO of Geoimage and Tatsuhiko Fukasawa, Director of Axelspace, today officially cement the formal partnership with a handshake and thumbs up during the 76th International Astronautical Congress in Sydney.

With this new partnership, Geoimage are proud to provide access to the GRUS-1 constellation (GRUS-1ABCDE). Clients now have access to high quality imagery at a lower cost and frequently. Plus, GRUS-1 been capturing data since 2018 which means clients can tap into rich archive imagery for change detection, especially over large regions. Perfect for industries such as environmental, agriculture and urban planning.

Next year, our clients can look forward to even more advanced capabilities with the upcoming GRUS-3 constellation with seven additional satellites with access to the latest technology.

Here’s a closer look into the capabilities of the GRUS-1 constellation:

• GRUS-1 offers 2.5m ground resolution and history of captures over Australia since 2018.
• With a large operating constellation of microsatellites, capabilities of high frequency observation are available with competitive pricing.
• Despite being microsatellites, the GRUS satellites use the latest in optical and sensor technology to deliver imagery spanning more than 50km in width, allowing highly efficient coverage of the planet.
• Multispectral imagery is available in blue, green, red and red edge bands which is useful for vegetation analysis (plus near-infrared).
• With more frequent revisit times, this will enable reduced cloud cover challenges by having more image capture opportunities.
