
WorldView-3 was launched on 13th August, 2014 in California. WorldView-3 is the first multi-payload, super-spectral, high-resolution commercial satellite featuring 16 multispectral bands, and the ability to capture imagery at 31cm resolution.
On 13th August, 2014, WorldView-3 was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base California.
The WorldView-3 system offers unsurpassed accuracy, agility, capacity and spectral diversity. WorldView-3 is distinctive in that it captures high resolution imagery with sixteen multispectral bands, as compared to the usual four band satellite range.
With the additional spectral bands (including CAVIS bands), WorldView-3 offers unique opportunities for remote sensing analysis of vegetation, coastal environments, agriculture, geology and many others.
